Three numbers, three meanings
The published upper guest figure, when supplied, is a starting point for a day trip. It does not tell you how many can sleep aboard or what an operator permits for your exact charter.
Published sleeping places. Check the arrangement for adults and children, whether the count includes convertible spaces and which cabins your group can actually use.
Separate sleeping spaces in the published record. A cabin count is not a guest count, and it does not describe bathroom, access or privacy arrangements.

What changes for a day sail?
For a short outing, prioritise departure location, boarding time, trip length, shade, seating, bathrooms and the weather plan. Ask whether the group has the boat privately and how catering or events are handled. A day sailing label does not guarantee a specific route or experience.
What changes overnight?
Sleeping aboard adds practical questions: berth layout, bathrooms, linen, food storage, water, tender, charging, fuel and provisioning. Confirm minimum duration and whether handover and return happen within the paid days. A larger catamaran can still have fewer suitable berths than your group expects.
Can the same boat do both?
Possibly, but only the operator can confirm the packages currently offered for the exact vessel. Published charter-mode labels may be incomplete. Compare the live listings, then ask for a written offer that specifies whether the trip is day-only or overnight and who skippers.

- What are the permitted day guest and overnight guest limits for our booking?
- Who sleeps in each cabin or berth, and what linen is included?
- How many hours or nights are on the water after briefing and boarding?
- Does the quoted total include provisions, fuel, cleaning and a skipper?
